Handel beats opponent’s Ossoff in 6th Congressional District runoff

ATLANTA — Republican Karen Handel yesterday knocked off Democrat Jon Ossoff to replace Tom Price in Congress.

In the end, the race was not nearly as close as advertised, with Handle picking up 51.9 percent of the vote.

The race dominated airwaves citywide for months. Nearly every radio station, no matter the format, seemingly carried ads from at least one, but usually both, of the candidates.
