Deal appoints Rep. Carter as a floor leader

ATLANTA— State Rep. Amy Carter, R-Valdosta, was last week appointed as one of Gov.-elect Nathan Deal’s floor leaders in the Georgia House of Representatives for the upcoming session.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be chosen as one of Governor Deal’s floor leaders,” Carter said in a statement. “I look forward to working closely with him on a conservative agenda that will positively impact Georgia as a whole. His commitment to an open dialogue is truly refreshing, and I feel that we will work exceptionally well together.”
