Is the Smyrna City Council Ward 6 race headed to a runoff?
SMYRNA, Ga. — The race to fill the Ward 6 seat on the Smyrna city council may be headed to a runoff.
At about 10:40 p.m., Idella Moore was atop the crowded field of five candidates with 32.3 percent of the vote. Tim Gould was in second place with 28.3 percent of the vote.
If no candidate receives a majority of the votes cast, the top two vote-getters will face off in a July 24 runoff.
