Comcast celebrates opening of new XFINITY store with Atlanta BeltLine donation

Comcast today donated $5,000 to the Atlanta BeltLine during a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of its new XFINITY Customer Center in Midtown/Poncey-Highland.

The new 4,325-square-foot store, located at 699 Ponce De Leon Ave., is the fourth XFINITY location in Metro Atlanta and is part of a company-wide initiative to redefine the customer service experience. At the stores, customers can interact with service representatives, find answers to account questions and experience the latest XFINITY technology.

“Today’s grand opening is just the latest chapter of our aggressive investment campaign in Atlanta and across the state,” said Doug Guthrie, SVP for Comcast’s South Region. “We are pleased to support the Atlanta BeltLine, and look forward to furthering our investment in this high-growth part of our city.”

Comcast boasts Georgia’s largest Wi-Fi network and the nation’s fastest Internet speeds to the most homes and businesses. And, earlier this year, Comcast announced the addition of 300 new jobs to Metro Atlanta.

State Sen. Brandon Beach, R-Alpharetta, Atlanta BeltLine Partnership Executive Director Chuck Meadows and other dignitaries joined Comcast executives on Thursday to celebrate the store’s opening.

“We are thrilled to welcome Comcast to the Atlanta BeltLine neighborhood, and truly appreciate their generous support,” Atlanta BeltLine President and CEO Paul Morris said. “Comcast’s announcement today reaffirms the Atlanta BeltLine as a destination of choice for the region’s top organizations.”

The Midtown XFINITY Customer Center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
