Seahawks defeat Broncos to win first-ever Super Bowl

The Seattle Seahawks on Sunday defeated the Denver Broncos by a 43-8 margin to pick up the franchise’s first-ever Super Bowl championship.

Seattle picked up a safety on the first play of the game and never looked back. The Seahawks tacked on a pair of field goals to take an 8-0 lead at the end the first quarter and a 22-0 lead at halftime.

Denver scored its only points as time expired in the third quarter.
