Some estimates indicted Democrats could pick up a net of five seats.
Democrats have already picked up a seat in the U.S. Senate, as former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, defeated U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colorado. However, it remains to be seen whether the Democrats can flip enough seats to turn the U.S. Senate blue.
