Cobb County opening new Aviation Park

Cobb County is opening a new park aimed at celebrating the county’s “rich history in aviation.”

The new $2.75 million Aviation Park is located at 2659 Barrett Lakes Blvd., near Cobb County International Airport, giving visitors an optimal location for watching planes land and take off.

The park “provides a beautiful outdoor recreation area for residents and visitors,” officials said in an email. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Nov. 10.
