Thousands turn out for 27th Annual Komen Greater Atlanta Race for the Cure

ATLANTA — Thousands turned out today for the 27th Annual Komen Greater Atlanta Race for the Cure in Buckhead.

The race was originally scheduled for May 13, but was rescheduled after the Interstate 85 bridge collapse.

The annual event usually attracts more than 8,000 participants and is Komen Atlanta’s largest fundraiser, Komen said in a news release. It attracts participants from around the state.
