A Fulton County grand jury has indicted Atlanta attorney Claud “Tex” McIver III with malice murder and six other charges for the Sept. 25, 2016, shooting death of his wife, Landa Diane McIver.
As a result of the indictment, the Grand Jury issued a “No Bond” warrant for McIver’s Arrest. McIver will be assigned to a Fulton County Superior Court Judge within the next several days and appear at a Court arraignment a short time later, according to a news release from Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr.
In addition to the murder charge, McIver was indicted for his efforts to unlawfully influence witnesses in this case. The punishment for the three influencing Witnesses counts is two to ten years in prison for each count.
