Loudermilk appears victorious in 11th District

ATLANTA — U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., emerged victorious this evening in a five-way race.

By about 10:10 p.m, Loudermilk, elected to his seat in 2014, picked up about 60.3 percent of the vote. Daniel Cowan was in a distant second with 19.2 percent of the vote.

Hayden Collins, Billy Davis and William Llop were also vying for the seat. Loudermilk will face off against Don Wilson in the general election.

“We congratulate Barry Loudermilk on a hard-fought victory,” FreedomWorks PAC Chairman Adam Brandon said in a news release. “We’re excited about what the future has in store for him as he continues to work alongside House conservatives to cut spending, reduce regulations that are hurting our economy, and repeal ObamaCare and replace it with patient-centered alternatives. We look forward to another Loudermilk victory in November and two more years of his conservative leadership in Washington.”
