Barrow County Sheriff’s Investigators on Sunday, Feb. 28, arrested a 36-yeard old man for the murder of his wife.

Kevin Richard Harrison faces charges in the slaying of 29-year-old Heather Marrie Harrison. Heather Harrison has two children — ages 2 and 9; Kevin Harrison is the father of the youngest child, investigators said.

Shortly after midnight in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 28, Kevin Harrison called 911 stating his wife was accidentally shot at their residence at 763 Moss Side Drive in Bethlehem. Deputies arrived on the scene within four minutes and secured the residence.

The victim had a gun-shot wound to the head and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was pronounced dead hours later.

Investigators spent the day processing the crime scene and collecting evidence; as well as interviewing witnesses who knew the victim. Investigators also interviewed the suspect. Based on the interviews, the evidence from the crime scene, and the statements of the suspect, it was clear this was no accidental shooting.

Kevin Harrison remains in the Barrow County Detention Center awaiting bond on the charges of Aggravated Assault; Felony Murder; Murder; and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime. This investigation is on-going, and no further details are available for release, investigators said.
