Three minor leaguers suspended, MLB says

A trio of Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Baltimore Orioles Minor League pitcher Zack Dodson has received a 100-game suspension without pay after a third positive test for a drug of abuse. The suspension of Dodson, who is currently on the roster of the Double-A Bowie Baysox of the Eastern League, will be effective at the start of the 2016 EL season.

New York Mets Minor League third baseman Eudor Garcia has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Bumetanide and Furosemide, performance-enhancing substances in violation of the Program. The suspension of Garcia, who is currently on the roster of Single-A Columbia Fireflies of the South Atlantic League, will be effective at the start of the 2016 SAL season.

Free agent Minor League first baseman Tyler Williams has received a 50-game suspension without pay after a second positive test for a drug of abuse. The suspension of Williams will be effective immediately upon his signing with another Major League organization.
