It’s back to the future for the Big Apple. Graffiti is once again a problem for The City That Never Sleeps.

“We take graffiti very, very seriously,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said during a Monday press conference. “…Graffiti is a – is a serious offense. I think NYPD has some very sophisticated tools for going at it. So I expect you will see continued enforcement efforts in that area.”

Earlier this month, The New York Post reported the number of graffiti arrests have dropped 31 percent since 2013. That as the city receives about 36 complaints every day related to graffiti, the newspaper reported.

“I’ve seen a lot more graffiti then I’ve seen in a long time,” CBS New York quoted City Councilmember Karen Koslowitz, D-29, as saying.Graffiti was once prevalent in New York City.
