LaGrange knocks off Birmingham-Southern in overtime

Graham Craig completed 36 of 48 passes for 351 yards and four touchdowns to lead LaGrange to a 34-28 victory over Birmingham-Southern on Saturday.

After finishing regulation with the scored locked at 28, Craig completed a 26-yard pass to Michael Gray to seal the win for the Panthers in overtime. The two teams combined for nearly 1,000 yards of offense before a crowd of 2,640 at Panther Stadium in Birmingham, Ala.

With 3:00 left in the fourth quarter, LaGrange pulled ahead to a 28-20 lead following a 33-yard touchdown run from Seqouh Humes.

But, Birmingham-Southern responded with an eight-play, 66-yard drive capped by a 2-yard touchdown run from Samir Usman with 1:14 left in regulation to pull within two points. Austin Martin converted a two-down conversion to knot the score at 28 and send the game to overtime.

LaGrange hosts Berry next week. Birmingham-Southern travels to Huntingdon next week.
