Aguebor Named to CSM Preseason All-America Third Team

MACON, Ga. – Mercer University linebacker Tosin Aguebor was selected to the CollegeSportsMadness.com FCS Preseason All-America Third Team, as announced by the organization on Friday. He was one of six players from the Southern Conference to earn recognition.

Aguebor was one of the top standouts on a Mercer defense that ranked 12th in the FCS in rushing defense. He recorded 10 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and seven quarterback hurries during his redshirt freshman season, while ranking ninth in the country with four forced fumbles. For his efforts, he was named First Team All-Pioneer Football League as well as Mercer’s Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player.

The Bears, who reported for their 2014 preseason camp earlier this week, are less than a month away from their season opener, a 7 p.m. game against Reinhardt on August 28. Single-game tickets for the first game of the 2014 season will go on sale through the Mercer Ticket Office on Monday, August 4.
