SXSW speakers address data security, mass government surveillance


AUSTIN, Texas — Data security and mass government surveillance took center stage during this year’s South by Southwest festival with a series of high-profile speakers addressing the issue head-on.

Google Chief Eric Schmidt, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and NSA leaker Edward Snowden all addressed the issue to some degree during the festival.
