Ga. State adds 24 during 2014 National Signing Day

ATLANTA — Georgia State during National Signing Day on Wednesday signed 19 players and announced the addition of five others.

The Panthers’ latest class includes 17 high school players and seven junior college transfers. The 24 additions include a pair of quarterbacks, five offensive linemen and a trio of wide receivers.

“We target a specific type of individual and it starts with character,” Georgia State head coach Trent Miles said during a Wednesday press conference. “It starts with young men who are smart, tough, and love the game of football. I think that’s the trait of every young man that we signed today.

“Our coaching staff did a phenomenal job this year of going out and recruiting young men that fit the mold that we want here,” Miles added.
