Atlanta Press Club Hosts Charter School Amendment Forum

Panelists will have the opportunity to discuss Georgia Charter School Amendment Sunday during the Atlanta Press Club’s Loudermilk-Young Debate Series.

Jan Jones, Georgia House of Representatives; Kelly McCutchen, president of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation and founder of Tech High Charter School; Alvin Wilbanks, CEO and superintendent of Gwinnett County Public Schools; and Valarie Wilson, president of the Georgia School Board Association are invited to appear at the debate, which will air live statewide Sunday at 5 p.m. on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Donna Lowry, education reporter for 11Alive will moderate. Maureen Downey, education reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, will be taking viewer questions live. Viewers also encouraged to submit questions in advance that may be answered during the live program.
