Price: ‘President has created an atmosphere undeniably hostile to America’s job creators’

The nation’s job creators “need an end to the uncertainty” and President Obama’s administration “has done little to improve our economy or create jobs,” a congressman said last week.

U.S. Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., said in a statement, “the president has created an atmosphere undeniably hostile to America’s job creators, and he’s made it clear that he’s more committed to advancing his tax-and-spend agenda than to creating policies that foster economic growth.”

He added:

“As this latest survey of small businesses makes clear, the nation’s job creators desperately need an end to the uncertainty. They need a president willing to do the work and provide leadership to avoid a looming ‘fiscal cliff,’ so they can turn their attention to putting more Americans back to work.

“Whether it’s skyrocketing energy prices, stifling regulations or trillion dollar annual deficits, this administration has done little to improve our economy or create jobs. On the other hand, House Republicans have acted to avoid the looming fiscal cliff that threatens American families and small businesses.

“The U.S. House of Representatives has voted on a plan to avoid indiscriminate cuts that would weaken our nation’s military at a time of mounting threats. We have passed a plan to stop the tax hike that threatens to destroy jobs, and we’ve proposed a pathway to fundamental tax reform in 2013. These are common sense solutions that would help protect small businesses and the economy at large from greater uncertainty.”
