Cox inducted into Braves Hall of Fame

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves on Friday honored former manager Bobby Cox, inducting him into the team’s Hall of Fame and retiring his number (6).

“It’s very humbling to be inducted into any Hall of Fame,” Cox said, according to MLB.com. “I think the Braves Hall of Fame is very special. It’s been a great day. I’ve enjoyed it.”

Cox’s retired number joins Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Phil Niekro, Hank Aaron, Warren Spahn and Eddie Mathews.

“I was fine until they took that curtain off that number,” Cox said, according to MLB.com. “I want to thank you so much. This is one of the greatest days of our lives.”
