Sen. Thompson to serve on new State Bar Commission

ATLANTA — Sen. Curt Thompson, D-Tucker, has been invited to serve for the next three years on a newly formed commission for the State Bar of Georgia.

The “Next Generation Courts Commission” is tasked with predicting what the state’s court system will look like in 20 years and creating a plan to get there, according to a news release from the senator.

“I am proud to have been chosen for this commission and I will certainly work my hardest to ensure we develop a practical and politically feasible strategy to turn our visions of a better court system into reality,” Thompson said in a statement.
