Governor appoints Sapp to Chatham judge post

ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal last week appointed Gregory V. Sapp to fill the vacancy in the State Court of Chatham County.

Sapp fills a vacancy created by the resignation of the Judge Ronald Ginsberg. The appointment takes effect upon swearing-in, which should occur within the next few weeks.

Sapp is the solo practitioner of Sapp Law Group in Savannah. He is a life-long resident of Chatham County. He is also a “Double Dawg” having earned his bachelor’s degree in history and political science and his law degree from the University of Georgia.

He and his wife, Theresa, have two children.
