Perdue appoints Boston to DeKalb solicitor-general post

Gov. Sonny Perdue on Friday announced the appointment of Sherry Boston as the solicitor-general for DeKalb County.

She succeeds Robert D. James, who resigned from the post.

Boston, 36, is managing attorney of the Law Office of Sherry Boston, LLC. She also serves as a judge on the DeKalb Recorder’s Court and the Dunwoody Municipal Court.

Boston earned recognition as an Atlanta Magazine Rising Star Super Lawyer and one of Georgia Trend’s Legal Elite. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. She earned her law degree from Emory University School of Law.

Boston and her husband, Eddie Baines, live in Atlanta.
