Dunwoody police investigating bank robbery

Dunwoody Police Department and the FBI on Tuesday morning responded to an armed robbery at the Best Bank located at 4498 Chamblee Dunwoody Roadm.

Dunwoody officers discovered the suspect had fled on foot towards Cotillion Dr. Bank employees advised the suspect approach the counter and demanded cash. The suspect brandished a handgun and then fled the scene on foot towards Cotillion Dr with an undetermined amount of cash.

Dunwoody police “are actively working with the FBI in regards to this robbery. The suspect may be involved in three additional bank robberies in the metro Atlanta area,” the department said in a news release.

The suspect is a black male approximately 6’2-6’4 weighing 220-250 lbs dressed in all black clothing and is armed with a black semi automatic handgun.
