Deal announces new leaders for Administrative Services, Juvenile Justice

Gov.-elect Nathan Deal today said he will appoint Sid Johnson as the commissioner for the Department of Administrative Services.

Johnson currently serves as the administrator of the Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs. Deal has chosen Cobb County lawyer John Sours as the new leader for Consumer Affairs.

Deal also said he will nominate Amy Howell to serve as the commissioner of the Department of Juvenile Justice. Howell currently holds a deputy commissioner position at the department.

According to Deal, the following will continue their service in their current positions:

Dr. Frank Shelp, commissioner, Dept. of Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities

Allen Barnes, director, Georgia DNR Environmental Protection Division

Robert Farris, director, Georgia Forestry Commission

Sylvia Wygoda, director, Georgia Commission of the Holocaust

Jones Hooks, executive director, Jekyll Island Authority

Bill Donohue, executive director, Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority

Margaret DeFrancisco, president and CEO, Georgia Lottery Corporation

Lisa Love, executive director, Georgia Music Hall of Fame

William Crews, executive director, Non-Public Post Secondary Education Commission

Bill Donohue, executive director, North Georgia Mountains Authority

J. Dale Mann, director, Georgia Public Safety Training Center

Brent Dykes, executive director, Soil and Water Conservation Commission
