Three shot, one killed after house party shooting

CONYERS — A teenager was killed and two others wounded following a Sunday morning shooting at a house party, media outlets reported.

According to a report on WSB-AM, a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were shot. The oldest later died.

Reports indicate police were called to the house on Treeleaf Court prior the shooting. The party then seemingly appeared as though it was breaking up, but shots were apparently later fired.

“These large house parties in neighborhoods don't work,” WSB-TV quoted Conyers Police Lt. Jackie Dunn as saying. “You can't control party crashers. That's exactly what happened.”

Police also charged the tenant of the residence with keeping a disorderly house, WSB-AM reported. WSB-TV reported the tenant threw the party and charged admission to raise money for rent. That party may have been running simultaneously to a birthday party.
